What is Keyword research?

Keyword research is one of the important parts of performing SEO. By selecting the right keyword and optimizing such keywords while performing SEO. You will rank for the right keywords and it will connect with the right customers.

Now, it is important to know how search engine works?

For any search engines to rank your content for the related keywords requires two important things i.e. Relevancy and Authenticity.
For any content to be visible in any search engine, initially search engine crawls your content with the help of robots and bots. They observe certain signal areas to know about your content. And after the screening, the search engine knows to which keyword your content is relevant and it indexes your content to that keyword.

For ranking your content authenticity is important. Authenticity checks your content for indexing position. Also, authenticity depends on various factors like the backlinks in the content from the trusted site. By going through your content search engine decides the ranking order.

Now let’s Understand Search Intent.

Every search has some intent, intent is the reason behind the keyword search in search engine.
Search intent (or user intent, audience intent) is the term used to describe the purpose of an online search. 
Understanding Search Intent or Searcher Intent is the key to getting relevant traffic growth on your site.

There are four types of search intent. They are:

Informational Intent: First, there is informational intent. Lots of searches on the internet are done by people looking for information. That could be information about the weather, information about educating children, information about SEO, you name it. People with informational intent have a specific question or want to know more about a certain topic.

Navigational Intent: People with this intent want to visit a specific website. For example, people who search for [Facebook] are usually on their way to the Facebook website.

Commercial Intent: Some people have the intention to buy in the (near) future and use the web to do their research. What washing machine would be best? Which SEO plugin is the most helpful? These people also have transactional intent but need some more time and convincing. These types of search intents are usually called commercial investigating intents.

Transactional Intent: Lots of people buy stuff on the internet and browse the web to find the best purchase. People are searching with transactional intent when their purpose is to buy something.

Which of your keywords will bring the most of the traffic on your website?

Primary Keyword: A primary keyword is the name of your web page or an article. That keyword is used always first then other keywords on your content.
The primary keyword must and should be added to your content title, URL, and description. And the primary keyword should be added in the first paragraph on your content.

Secondary Keyword: Secondary keyword is using after the use of a primary keyword. The secondary keyword helps to the supporting role of the primary keyword. You have to target the secondary keywords also which will help to get rank quickly.
When you are doing SEO optimization, the main part is selecting one primary keyword or phrase and more secondary keywords.

Supporting Keyword or LSI Keyword: LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) keywords are related to your primary keyword. So many peoples are thinking LSI keywords are synonyms.
Example: It finds the words like: ‘vehicles’, ‘hero Honda’, ‘Yamaha’, ‘Bullet’, ‘Bajaj’, ‘buy’, ‘sell’, ‘repair’, your content is probably about bikes.
